Mr. Lane blends his business and legal experience to serve clients seeking counsel in corporate, transactional, securities, and real estate law matters. Mr. Lane advises companies in all phases of their development and brings dynamic growth and valuable solutions to their varied needs. With experience in large and small entities in both the public and private sectors, Mr. Lane understands a wide range of business climates and offers supremely attentive guidance for companies that require legal expertise to achieve their goals.
Upon his graduation from law school, Mr. Lane joined a start-up real estate development firm based in Poway in order to begin his practice in the zoning and business law fields. Mr. Lane later worked for Empire Commercial Real Estate, L.P., a large real estate development firm where he managed the design, entitlement and construction of a private country club master-planned community, The Retreat, in Corona, California. While at Empire, Mr. Lane’s business focus and legal expertise were employed to negotiate and consummate several high-profile land dispositions in Southern California and to research, draft, edit, facilitate, and monitor various land-use and contractual arrangements including shareholder’s agreements, community facility district agreements, and memorandums of understanding.
A native San Diegan, Mr. Lane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. While at University of San Diego, Mr. Lane earned an internship with the Real Estate Assets Department for the City of San Diego.
