Information: Dr. Farber, with 19 years of experience in the life sciences arena, is best known for his expertise in patent drafting and prosecution for biotechnology, biomedical and pharmaceutical companies. A highly skilled biochemist and molecular biologist, Dr. Farber offers his clients valuable legal counsel based on a first-hand understanding of how the worlds of science and business interrelate.

Prior to joining Catalyst Law Group, Dr. Farber served in Of Counsel roles for several prestigious national law firms. Most recently, at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in San Diego, Dr. Farber focused on biotechnology patent prosecution, client counseling and opinion work. Earlier in his career, he was a Partner in the Intellectual Property practices of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly and Merchant & Gould, both in Los Angeles.

Dr. Farber was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California Institute of Technology and a Doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Farber has received copious honors including a Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health and the Paul Wildman Memorial Scholarship from Southwestern University School of Law.
