Dr. Lewis, with over 25 years of experience in the science and legal arenas, is best known for his expertise in patent drafting and prosecution for biotechnology, biomedical and pharmaceutical companies. A highly skilled biochemist and biophysicist, Dr. Lewis offers his clients valuable legal counsel based on a first-hand understanding of how the worlds of science and business correlate.
Prior to joining Catalyst Law Group, Dr. Lewis served in Of Counsel roles for several prestigious Los Angeles law firms and scientific organizations. Most recently, at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, Dr. Lewis focused on Chemistry Patent work.
Dr. Lewis was awarded a Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Doctorate in Biophysics from Oregon State University. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law. Dr. Lewis has received copious honors including a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the UCLA Department of Microbiology and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
